The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is a four years (8 Semesters) degree program. Modules offered are drawn from Liberal Arts, Natural Sciences, Management, Computer Programming, Computer Network Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Emerging ICT technologies. The program aims at producing trained professionals who can successfully meet the growing demands of the Information Technology industry. The core focus of the course is on computer network and internet technologies, application programming, system level programming and database management. Modules offered in the bachelors degree program provide adequate competencies that provide sufficient preparation for the computer software engineer.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of six credits obtained in the GCE “O” Level/IGCSE/SGCSE must be at C grade or better. Subjects that must be passed at C grade or better include the following:

  • English Language,
  • Mathematics (Math Literacy shall not be considered)
  • Physics or Phys/Chem (Combined Science)

And any three of the following:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • A pass at C grade or better in any subject

NB: A pass (D grade) in English will be considered provided the candidate has at least six credits in the other subjects.

OR

A Diploma in Computer Science or IT. Diploma holders with the approval of the Senate may start at Level II.
