Morning Dew (MD) is a discipleship program of Eswatini Medical Christian University (EMCU), operating under the office of the Chaplain. It was a vision conceived in 2018 by the late former Vice Chancellor Prof I. W. Kim.
The MD Project complements other discipleship activities including the teaching of six courses on Christianity, Chapel services, and other Christian activities like those conducted by SCM (Student Christian Movement).
Mission of Morning Dew
Morning Dew Programs
1. Discipleship / Mentorship – the one hour session every Tuesday with the facilitators serves as a good time for the students and facilitators or coaches to discuss issues that concerns the growth of the students in a holistic way. This time gives them both an opportunity to get to know each other in order to walk or do life together in a more productive way.
2. Graduation – this is an event that happens once in a year. This is the moment where we get to celebrate all the outgoing students or 4th year students that have consistently and persistently attending Morning Dew for the past Four (4) years while in the institution. They do get a certificate that awards them of their great exemplary behavior.
3. Semester opening & Closing ceremonies – these are events hosted during the Morning Dew hour at the beginning of the semester as a way to welcome the students and also give them more details about us and further provide testimonials from other students that have been impacted by Morning Dew. It’s a students Orientated event.
4. Empowerment sessions – this is when the Morning Dew decides to bring the students together because they have seen a trend or something that needs to be addressed collectively. This include an Approaching Examination so the events aims at empowering or equipping them with the necessary skills or principles to be effective in their preparations.
5. Study with Success – this is a program that aims at equipping all First year students with practical skills for academic excellence. This program has been tailor made for University students for them to learn different styles, principles and skills that will make them to be ready to ready to tackle any academic pressure that will come along as they proceed with their studies in the University.
